Why I Don’t Wear a Bicycle Helmet

We see most bicycle riders getting used to helmets and sunglasses. Even if they ride on local roads, it seems to be a part of their riding. Whether you have a bicycle or not, have you ever put a bicycle helmet on your head? Have you ever thought about how effective these bi-cycle helmets are?

There are a lot of people who think bicycle helmets are useless. Because they have a shell and foam inside, which is not even effective in protecting your head from injury in case of an accident. According to them, you need to be alert to prevent damage from accidents on bicycles. Also, they assume that wearing a bicycle helmet might make you feel safe, but it might also make you careless. If you’re careless, then you’re putting yourself in danger.

However, that’s not true all the time. Because sometimes, you need a full-face bicycle helmet to ride on a mountain or any other dangerous place. It may not save you from massive injuries, but at least it can protect you from minor injuries.

Above all, it depends on you whether to put on a bicycle helmet or not. If you’re worried about looking stupid or being laughed at, then maybe you shouldn’t wear a bicycle helmet. Does wearing a bicycle helmet eliminate the risk of injury entirely? Let’s get it from Terry Barentsen’s video.
